The Training Operations Manager is responsible for operational planning, forecasting, goal setting, and resource coordination for service training delivered for the Asia Pacific service team to facilitate delivery of world-renowned services.
Partner with Asia Pacific's service managers in the development of their employees by providing guidance on learning paths, course priorities, and mentoring activities. Support new hire onboarding to maximize time-to-contribution and time-to-proficiency.
Manage day-to-day operations of the Shanghai-HQ, Beijing, and Singapore training centers, and provide logistical support to local training centers. Achieve targets for Asia Pacific's course availability and effectiveness. Monitor and manage KPIs to drive operational excellence.
Maintain training expense, asset, and inventory budgets, provide monthly forecasts, and contribute to development of business cases for incremental spend.
Contribute to training plans as inputs to the Waters Product Development Process. Propose and execute delivery strategies to satisfy new product training requirements.
Identify and assess opportunities to improve effectiveness and efficiency of training delivery and associated practices. Lead initiatives to realize targeted outcomes.
Drive compliance to Waters Quality Systems, Good Laboratory Practices, and Environmental Health & Safety standards within Global Services Education classrooms and laboratories.
Create, administer, and maintain training polices, processes, procedures, and forms.
Represent Global Services Education by participating on Waters Global Services project teams.
BS/BSc or higher in chemistry, biology, or related science; MS/MSc in education or business is beneficial.
5+ years of work experience supporting training and/or field organizations.
2+ years of operations and budget management with or without direct reports.
Ability to influence non-direct reports and lead cross-functional teams.
Exceptional organization and communication skills. Detail- and action-oriented.
Enthusiastic and self-motivated. Ability to work well with diverse managers and employees.
