概要

Waters is establishing an International Food and Water Research Center (IFWRC) based in Singapore. The laboratory will bring together researchers from across the globe to collaborate on key areas of interest in food and water security. A team of permanent scientists will support visiting scientists and collaborate with other partners from academia and industry. The laboratory will be equipped with the latest LC-MS, GC-MS and sample preparation technologies for food and water research.

Reporting to the Director of F&E Strategic Relations, the Director of the IFWRC will be responsible for implementation and management of the International Food and Water Research Center (IFWRC) in Singapore. Managing a team of scientists, the director will be responsible for day-to-day laboratory activities and team management as well as supporting visiting scientists and research projects. The Director will also be responsible for liaison with the local Waters sales, marketing, service & R&D organisation.

責務

Responsibilities:

  • Provide input and guidance for equipping the lab, recruitment of scientists and commencement of laboratory operation
  • Once the IFWRC is operational , the director is accountable for administration, budget management and day-to-day operation of the laboratory
  • Work with the Director of Strategic Relations and Scientific Advisory Panel to identify and prioritize scientific projects
  • Drive communication with local and international key opinion leaders (KOLs)
  • Manage the IFWRC scientists including objective setting, individual development plans and scientific output
  • Work collaboratively with  visiting scientists and IFWRC scientists on driving outcomes from prioritized projects of interest. Communicate scientific outcomes from projects internally and externally
  • Support visiting scientists involved in collaborative projects
  • Engage with local Waters organization to communicate plans and outputs and to leverage value from the center

資格

 

 Qualifications and Experience:

  • Ph.D.  in related scientific field (Masters with multiple years management experience may be considered)
  • Previous laboratory management and leadership experience
  • Ability to manage a scientific team and drive timely scientific outcomes from research projects
  • Strong understanding of food and/or environmental science with broad knowledge of the application areas
  • Experience with the application of chromatography and mass spectrometry in food and/or environmental testing
